Wolfguard is a Historical Re-enactment group based on the Isle of Wight.
We have been doing Dark Age re-enactment for over 30 years and primarily portray Vikings from this period of history. Whilst we are based on the Isle of Wight, we maintain strong links with the Mainland at our annual shows, 2 of which are Medieval so we have a small time hop for us.

We put on living history and combat displays for many of the Isle of Wight's schools and perform at most Island shows during the summer months.
A good number of our members venture overseas to the mainland to take part in events such as our annual trips to Templecombe and Tewkesbury (see Upcoming Events)

Rekkr Nix Haraldr and Bjorn completed this years walk the wight in true Viking fashion with spears and Dane axes in hand ! the group set off at 06:45 (naught traffic slowed their start) and the trekked across the entire width of the Wight in period accurate clothing for the Viking age (minus the shoes) and finished off at 06:00 on the dot !
The group managed to raid just under £1150 sacks of silver for the Mountbatten hospice on the island who is a great charity who supports those on the island to age gracefully.

Come visit us at Arreton barns most Sundays from 12 - 3 pop by and have a chat about this fascinating period of history or perhaps join in with some sparring, no experience needed.
We are situated just north of the over flow car park on the grassy area.
