Join the Guard!
Would you like to join us?
Wolfguard is always on the lookout for new members. We welcome people from all ages and all walks of life. Our only stipulation is that currently only members over the age of 16 may participate in full combat re-enactment.
Training sessions are free to new members, and currently we train every Sunday at Wootton Scout Hut or Arreton Barns, depending on the weather, so feel free to just turn up! Initially, all you need to bring is yourself, but if you want to take part in that side of the combat re-enactment you will need comfortable clothes suitable for moving around in.
Training starts at 12:00. To check on our training location contact the Master At Arms Axel via :
Everybody gets something different from re-enactment, whether it is the physical and mental exertion of combat, learning about and practising history, or the social side of meeting a wide range of people with similar interests.
Whatever level of involvement you want with the Living History and/or combat, we have a place for you!
Avoid the New-bie Fever
Re-enactment can be an expensive pass-time, which is why we have group equipment and loans from other members available for new members to use until they are sure they want to commit themselves to the pass-time. Once you have decided to commit to the pass-time, a group loan may be available to help you purchase the required equipment.
